It was in October last year when I was at Tioman Island for a research on climate change adaptation. Islands are particularly vulnerable areas to be first hit by the impacts of climate change, which ranges from frequent tropical storm, sea level rise and increased sea surface temperature (which affects fishery). It was particularly stormy when I was there for 3 days and I was alone to explore the small island. I rented a bicycle and wandered from one end to the other end of the island, stopping occasionally to take photographs, while some are taken while I am cycling away. Picture above are the luxury boats docking at the Tioman Marina, and the storm is looming closer again.
