What is evelayn fotografi™?
It’s just a branding I like to give to the photographs that I’ve taken. I guess that is just the first step in carving an identity as a burgeoning experimental photographer. I’ve currently linked this webpage to the other site which I share with my partner, called the POST Productions. We’re just starting on a small but exciting venture on making documentaries and also in photojournalism.
Niche?
I am inclined towards environmental photography and portrait photography, as I believe that if a picture is worth a thousand words, it has got to tell a story somehow. I love beautiful photos, but I am deeply moved by photos that have a story to tell - one that causes me to feel something about it, one that causes me to think and one that causes me to realize and the most powerful of all, is the one that causes me to act.
And that, is the kind of photographs that I hope to take.
What’s happening?
I’m currently building up a monochrome gallery here in Tumblr as I thought it’ll be good to share my favourite shots with anyone who happens to drop by. As photography is a never-ending process of discovery, I am always learning the ropes in taking better photographs as I go along. And of course, also as I build up my gadget inventory when finance permits :)
Where are am I going?
I aspire to be a photojournalist some day, getting there with tiny but sure steps. I know that the challenge does not lie in taking great photographs alone, but it is also in how the story is told. And this is the start of my ever-evolving journey towards my passion. Thank you for being a part of it.
