Saw this beautiful looking plant at the Butterfly Farm this Tuesday. I think it is also the logo for the Tropical Spice Garden. Can anyone name this flower? :)
I had a very sweet (literally and figuratively) farewell at my workplace yesterday. I got some yummy J Co. Donuts for my colleagues in my department and they have gotten me a delicious carrot walnut cake - my absolute favourite! Some of the farewell statements that I would cherish:
1. You’ve been a great friend and blessing - JO.
2. Tan tuah chee! (Chinese for earn big money) - YY.
3. May our paths cross again - Dr. K.
4. Keep me updated. Am excited for you - SL.
5. Hate to see you go - LE.
6. I said to myself I wouldn’t cry but… - EA.
7. I’d just pretend we’re having cake for the tea break - AP.
You will be dearly missed… every single one of you.
My cousin, Erene and her groom having a long awaited cherished moment. They tied the knot June this year after being together for about 10 years. Through their matrimony, I was reminded of what endurance and commitment means in a relationship. For this moment - it was worth it all.
Perhaps the only cake that I am happy to bake for others is the chocolate peppermint moist cake. It’s not the best in town but I always enjoyed baking for my family and friends. I know dad can’t wait to taste it - because he kept peering over my shoulders several times at the kitchen, asking when will the cake be done :)
Kiki, the toy poodle that stayed with me for 3 weeks while her mistress was away in Singapore. She was such an energy ball - I just could not keep up with her incessant mini leaps and yelps for attention. Kinda missed her when it was time to go home. This shot was taken at the rare moment when she actually stood still and stared cluelessly into the camera :)
Can’t wait until I go snipping, pasting, sewing and writing away :)
Just the simple joy of hand-making bookmarks as farewell gifts… and I have 3 weeks left!
I’m gonna miss smelling the flowers in Penang. Saturday morning jogs in the Botanical Gardens will be so cherished once I move down south.
Penang is so full of nostalgia - one that will hold a special place in my heart.
I want to hear about your Masters studies when you are in KL. Since your boyfriend is working, he’ll pay for your studies :)
– Neil Andrew, my Discipline DirectorWith the friends I made from iBridge Camp 2009. We took this photo inside the elevator at the French Village, Genting Highlands. Surrounded by mirrors, I just couldn’t resist a click*
Around a camera, everyone can be fun people :)
Shantini and her baby Jaydon capturing memories together.
What memories would you make with your mom if she had a camera when you are a baby? :-)
the idea is coming
It has something to do with
- a pen and paper (or laptop)
- a dSLR
- a fresh perspective
- and a bunch of adventures and experiences
… to piece together an engaging and life-changing stories; those that really matters at the end of the day.

urm…
evelayn fotografi⢠is just a branding I like to give to the photographs I’ve taken. I am not sure if evelayn fotografi⢠will really happen but I do want to give it a shot. It may not be something that will put food on my table, or a roof over my head - but I want to do it for a bigger purpose rather than for myself.
That is to pursue all things beautiful through the lens - painting stories with light and colours.

Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know
